Project Description:
The applicant proposes to

Wetland No. PV-29 (Class III) for a single family residence. The project site is located at
the end of Linda Court, approximately 0.15 mile from the intersection with Cramer Road.

filling of approximately 0.08 acre of the wetland and 0.03acre of the 100-foot adjacent
area. To compensate for wetland losses, Freshwater Wetland No. PV-29 will be
expanded approximately 0.31 acre on the site by regrading and landscaping a portion of

Article 17 Titles 7 & 8 Industrial SPDES |

Project Description:
The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve this application to modify
a SPDES permit containing a total of 71 outfalls with an average total discharge of 31
million gallons per day (MGD) to allow the addition/discharge of various chemicals used
in heating, cooling, manufacturing and treatment processes at the applicant's electronic
computer manufacturing complex, including metal finishing wastewaters, air
conditioning discharges, chiller water, steam condensate, contaminated groundwater, and
stormwater. The permit modification also proposes the addition of monitoring
requirements within an unnamed tributary to the Hudson River (Class C) as a surrogate
for most stormwater outfall monitoring, concurrent reduction of stormwater monitoring
requirements at several existing outfalls, and deletion of Outfall Nos. 004 & 009a
(swimming pool drain discharge and Building 012 footing drains, respectively). There
will be no new construction and no increase in overall discharge flows from the facility as
a result of this proposed SPDES permit modification. Outfalls at the manufacturing plant
discharge to either the Hudson River (Class A) or to an unnamed tributary to the Hudson
River. The project is located on the west side of US Route 9 proximate to the intersection
of Spackenkill Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County. A draft permit is
available for inspection and comment at the regional office.
