Project Description: The action involves a new commercial use involving the construction and operation of a one-story, 40 foot by 100 foot, 25 unit self-storage building. Seasonal and recreational type equipment such as boats, snowmobiles, lawn mowers, campers, furniture, etc. Access to the building will be on a gravel surface driveway and a 30 foot wide perimeter around the building. Site lighting will consist of six motion-activated full cut-off wall mounted fixtures. No sign is proposed. A 75 foot wide wooded buffer will be maintained between the building and Piseco Road.

Project Title: Curtis Palmer Hydroelectric Co. LP & the NYS Department of Transportation

Location: NYS Route 9N, Town and Village of Corinth, Saratoga County

Project Description: The project involves the construction of two 60 ft. long x 3 ft. wide stone berms in wetlands within the right-of-way of NYS Route 9N. The semi-porous berms will be located on the upstream side of culverts that go underneath Route 9N. One will be located on Hickok Brook and the other on Sturdevant Creek. The berms are being constructed to reduce the outflow of water from wetlands associated with the streams when the Curtis Impoundment is being drawn down for hydroelectric purposes.

Public Hearing

Essex County - Please take notice that the Village of Lake Placid/Town of North Elba Joint Review Board will hold a public hearing under the Joint Village/Town Land Use Code and the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) regarding an application by the Lake Placid Group, LLC for a conditional use approval, site plan approval and subdivision approval to construct a 98-room hotel on an approximately 14-acre parcel near the northwest corner of the intersection of NYS Route 86 and Whiteface Inn Road (Tax Map Nos. 426-3-6.000 and 9.000 and 42.6-1-18.001). The project is a Type I action under SEQR. The hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at the Third Floor Meeting Room, Town of North Elba Town Hall, 301 Main Street, Lake Placid, New York, at which time all interested persons will have an opportunity to be heard. Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Fulton County - The Adirondack Park Agency, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed Map Amendment 2002-6. The action involves amendment of the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map in the Town of Ephratah, Fulton County (Map Amendment 2002-6) to reclassify an approximately 50-acre area from its present classification of Resource Management to Rural Use, pursuant to the Adirondack Park Agency Act, Section 805(2)(c)(1). Agency staff have expanded the area to include lands of similar character within regional boundaries. The total area under consideration is approximately 320 acres. The project is located in the Town of Ephratah, Fulton County.
