Project Description:
Applicant proposes to construct
a commercial retail facility to be known as "Unity Plaza"
on an 11.49 + acre parcel on the north side of NYS Route 82 within the hamlet of
Hopewell Junction. The facility will include a 47,500 square foot supermarket and two
smaller retail buildings for division into multiple retail stores. Development of the site
will require some disturbance to wetland HJ-75 (Class II) and its adjacent area. A
discharge outfall pipe from an on-site sewage treatment plant will be constructed through
a section of wetland in order to provide an outfall for up to 12,500 gallons per day of
treated effluent to the Whortlekill Creek (Class (C(T)). A draft permit containing DEC
proposed effluent limits and monitoring requirements for the sanitary wastewater
discharge has been prepared and is available for review.

Project Description:
The Department of Environmental
Conservation (DEC) has made a tentative
determination to approve this application for a new State Pollutant Discharge Elimination
System (P/C/I SPDES permit) for The Harvey School. The existing school has eight
outfalls with a waste discharge design flow of 17,555 gpd. The proposed new arts center
and gymnasium will require an additional outfall, and an increase in the total design flow
to 23,255 gpd. The proposed permit includes effluent limitations and monitoring and
reporting requirements, and would be issued for a five-year period. A draft permit is
available for inspection and comment at the Region 3 office.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to
expand Water District #4 to include Business Park Drive in the
hamlet of Armonk. The proposed expansion involves the installation of approximately
2,750 lineal feet of twelve (12) inch diameter water main which is proposed to connect to
the existing system at two locations, one at each end of Business Park Drive. The water
main is proposed to connect to existing wells which necessitates a 210 + foot crossing of
Freshwater Wetland G-1 (Class II) and an additional 160 linear feet within the 100 foot
wetland adjacent area.
