Sullivan County - The Town of Bethel Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Top Ridge Residential Subdivision project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves preliminary approval for the construction and operation of a 45-lot residential subdivision on approximately 300 acres of land entirely within the Town of Bethel, New York. The majority of the homes will be second homes and not year-round residences. The project is located in the Town of Bethel.

Westchester County - The Westchester County Board of Legislators, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Dunwoodie Golf Course Tee and Green Rehabilitation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the reconstruction of all the tees and some of the greens at the Dunwoodies Golf Course. The project is located at the Dunwoodies Golf Course, City of Yonkers.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping Session

Dutchess County - The Town of Pleasant Valley Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hillside Farms Multi-family Housing Development may have a significant adverse environmental impact. A public scoping session will be held on Monday, December 2, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall of the Town of Pleasant Valley, 1554 Main Street, Pleasant Valley. Final written comments should be received by December 9, 2002. The action involves a 302 unit development. The project is located along Wigsten Road in the Town of Pleasant Valley.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS

Orange County - The Town of Chester Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of Town of Chester Comprehensive Plan (as amended). The action is the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan prepared pursuant to Section 272-a of New York State Town Law. This DGEIS addresses the impacts of adopting and implementing the proposed Plan (as recommended for adoption by the town’s Comprehensive Plan Committee on July 16, 2002 and proposed for minor amendment/addendum on October 30, 2002), replacing the currently municipal Plan adopted in 1974. The project is located Townwide, Town of Chester.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Westchester County - The City of Yonkers City Council, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Downtown Ball Park. A public hearing on the DEIS will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at 7 PM in the City Council Chambers at Yonkers City Hall, 40 South Broadway, 4th Floor, Yonkers, New York. The proposed action calls for the development and construction of a minor league ballpark, retail stores and services as part of an urban redevelopment for the Chicken Island Area. The application includes the relocation of approximate twenty (20) businesses. The project is located Nepperhan Avenue, New Main Street, New School Street, Palisade Avenue, (a.k.a Chicken Island), Yonkers.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Westchester County - The Mount Kisco Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Woodcrest at Leonard Park. The action involves a mixed residential development on a 25.09 acre site in the Village of Mount Kisco and the Town of Bedford (24.3 acres in Mount Kisco; 0.79 acres in Bedford). Residential uses will include a 102 unit affordable senior housing complex in three buildings, and 34 single family attached residences in 17 buildings. A 3,500 sq. ft. recreation building will be provided for residents of the development. The project is located with frontage on NYS Route 172 (South Bedford Road) and is adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester, Village of Mount Kisco and Town of Bedford.
