control erosion along approximately 150 feet of Charlotte

Project Description:
Applicant proposes to increase
an existing unpermitted discharge up to 35,000 gallons per
day of treated backwash wastewater to Climax Creek, a Class C waterbody, from the
applicant's water treatment facility located on Titus Mill Road, Climax, N. Y.
The Department has made
a tentative determination to issue a permit for a State Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System permit under Article 17 of the Environmental
Conservation Law. This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated
under this statute is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit issuance, based
on information available to the Department at this time. As a tentative determination, the
Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final
decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does not signify
Department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought or
for the overall proposed project.

for inspection and comment at the Region 4 Office.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to
conduct general site work and construction of building
improvements within the adjacent area of freshwater wetland ON-10 at an existing solid
waste management facility. The area to be disturbed is on previously disturbed ground.
Improvements consist of an addition to an existing building to accommodate
administrative and office personnel with office space, construct a container maintenance
building, and construct a wash bay building. A landscape berm with a rip rap apron will
be constructed between the wetland boundary area and the facility. The site is located at
49 Lower River Street southeast of State Route 7.
