SERP Action - Negative Declaration

St. Lawrence County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Village of Norwood, as lead agency, has determined that the Village of Norwood Water System Upgrade (DWSRF No. 15108) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves construction of a new water storage tank and water treatment system with chlorination and metering, construct iron treatment system and improvements of distribution system, and drill new well in existing well field. Comments on the negative declaration will be accepted for 30 days ending November 30, 2002. The project is located in the Village of Norwood, Town of Potsdam, St. Lawrence County.

Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Town of Cape Vincent, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Cape Vincent - Hamlet of Rosiere - Water District No. 3 Water Distribution System will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a new water distribution system along the portions of the Jefferson County Route 4 Hamlet of Rosiere. Water to be drawn from the Regional Water Line transversing the Town, operated by the Development Authority of the North Country. This project will provide a safe drinking water supply to residents and businesses within the District that currently have problems associated with poor quality and quantity water systems. The project is located along Jefferson County Route 4 in and around the Hamlet of Rosiere, Town of Cape Vincent, Jefferson County, beginning at Favret Road to the east of the Hamlet and continuing west approximately 3/4 of a mile beyond Kent Creek towards NYS Route 12E.
