Project Description:
The applicant proposes to
subdivide a 3.36 acre lot with an existing residence into two
lots. Lot 1 will be 106,438 sq. ft. and Lot 2 will be 40,071 sq. ft. A single family
dwelling will be constructed on Lot 1 and the existing residence will be relocated to Lot
2. A porch, deck, sanitary system, garage, and pervious driveway will be constructed for
each dwelling. Reface 956 linear feet of timber bulkhead with C-lock vinyl sheathing and
raise elevation 1 ft., construct 1,115 ft. of capping boardwalk and 920 ft. of gravel splash
pad. Construct a 40' x 40' boat basin on Lot 1 and an 18' x 30' boat basin on Lot 2.
Approximately 400 cubic yards of dredged spoil will be placed upland and graded. Create
a vegetated tidal pond on Lot 2 by dredging a 7000 sq. ft. area to 1.5 ft. below mean low
water. Resultant 500 cubic yards of spoil will be placed upland and graded. A buffer
area extending 50 ft. landward of the tidal wetland boundary will be maintained on Lot 1
and a 75 ft. buffer area on Lot 2. Buffer area will be planted with native grass and shrub
species. The property is located at 150 Senix Avenue, Center Moriches, Town of
Brookhaven, County of Suffolk oh Senix Creek, SCTM 0200-942-3-9.
