COMMENT PERIOD ON NATURAL RESOURCE DAMAGES ASSESSMENT PLAN EXTENDED

Comments to Be Accepted Through Friday, November 29, 2002

The Hudson River Natural Resource Trustees have extended the public comment period on the Natural Resource Damages Assessment (NRDA) Plan until November 29, 2002. The original comment period was set to expire on November 1.

Comments may be submitted to Steven Sanford, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, 625 Broadway - 5th Floor, Albany, New York 12233-4756.

The NRDA Plan, which was released on September 16, 2002, describes the broad range of studies completed, underway, or to be undertaken as part of the assessment of potential PCB-related injuries. The assessment will allow the Trustees evaluate injuries to natural resources from PCBs and identify projects to restore them. The Trustee agencies are the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Department of Interior - Fish and Wildlife Service and National Parks Service.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING

NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

The State Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives notice that a meeting of the Environmental Board will be held at 2:00 p.m., November 25, 2002 in Room 129B of the Department’s main offices at 625 Broadway, Albany, New York.

The Environmental Board will consider the following rulemaking action of the Department of Environmental Conservation:

• 6 NYCRR Subparts 360-4 and 360-5: Biosolids

This meeting is open to the public.
