Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Westchester County - The Town Board of the Town of North Castle, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed MBIA Insurance Corporation - Headquarters Expansion. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on November 20, 2002 at 8:00 p.m. at the North Castle Town Hall, 15 Bedford Road, Armonk, NY. The public comment period ends on November 30, 2002. The action involves an application for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map for properties located adjacent to the Current MBIA site on Route 120 and known as the Cooney Hill area. The proposed action involves the rezoning of 17 parcels, 14 of which are owned by MBIA. The current zoning of the properties is R-1A, Single-family Residential. The applicant is proposing to rezone these properties to DOB-20A. The application also involves the expansion of the existing 261,000 square foot office building to allow the construction of an additional 165,000 square feet plus an additional 73,000 square feet of amenities space, including a meeting house. The proposed expansion will also include a multi-level parking garage, which will provide approximately 1,155 parking spaces. The project is located at 113 King Street, Armonk, Town of North Castle.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft Generic EIS and Public Hearing

Dutchess County - The Planning Board of East Fishkill, as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Meadow Creek Corporate Park. Written comments on the Supplemental Draft Generic EIS will be accepted until Monday, December 23, 2002. A public hearing will be held on December 11, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at the East Fishkill Town Hall, 330 Route 376, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. The action involves the construction of a 1.27 million square foot development (gross floor space) consisting of professional office space, research and development uses and a convenience mart/gasoline station on a 151-acre site zoned PCP and I-1, in the Town of East Fishkill. The project concept plan proposes 3 full access drives, a right turn in/right turn out only driveway, as well as three emergency access drives. The project also proposes the construction of a sewage treatment plant and a water storage tank on-site. The project is bounded by Interstate 84(I-84) Exit 15 to the south, Lime Kiln Road to the west and north, and Shenandoah Road to the east in East Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York 12533.
