Project Description:
The applicant proposes to
construct 9 two-family attached houses with parking within the
adjacent area of NYSDEC regulated Class I Freshwater Wetland NA-7 South Beach. All
of the proposed housed will be located a minimum of 50 feet from the wetland boundary.
A deed restricted area of no land alteration will be established along the rear of the
property. All on-site wetlands and 15 feet of adjacent will remain in a natural state. In
addition, plantings will be established in a 15 foot wide strip of the area of no land
alteration. Stormwater from the site will be directed to the wetlands and/or on-site
drywells to maintain stormwater balance to the wetlands. The project site is located on
Father Capodanno Boulevard and Vulcan Street, Staten Island, Block 3500, Lot 42.
