SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

The applicant proposes to remove and replace in the same location and 16" higher 140 linear feet of bulkhead with an 8 ft. north return end and a 10 ft. south return.  The south return will be constructed in vegetated tidal wetlands.  Backfill with 100 cubic yards of upland sand.  Dredge 10 ft. seaward of the new bulkhead to a maximum depth of 4 ft. below mean low water with resultant 25 cubic yards of dredged material to be used as backfill.  Install a 4 ft. x 140 ft. capping boardwalk.  The property is located at 18A Shinnecock Road, Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, County of Suffolk on Penny Pond.
