Project Description:
The Department is proposing
to modify an existing SPDES stormwater permit for the
purposes of removing the requirement to monitor the discharge for zinc. Based upon a
recent study by the permittee, zinc that has been present in the outfall was found to be
coming from the groundwater in the area. In addition, the sample collection point has
been moved to be more consistent with discharges from the facility. The facility is
located in the Town of Guilderland, Albany County.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to
restore the stream channel at 4 grade control structure locations
within Tributary 4 of Dry Brook by removing accumulated gravel/cobble upstream of each
structure. Gravel/cobble will be removed to create a narrow stream channel
approximately 4-5 feet wide. Total length of gravel removal will be approximately 160
feet. The project is located off Dry Brook Road and upstream of Thorn Road.
