Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct a steel sheetpiling wall along approximatley 95 feet of an unnamed tributary to Barkaboom Stream.  Wall will provide scour protection for a house and garage that have been undermined by previous high water events.  The project is located at 80 Warren Weaver Road, off Barkaboom Road.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Oct 18 2002.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to modify the existing mining method and operation by incorporating both blasting and rock crushing into the mining operation.  The current mechanical method of rock extraction (ripping with a bulldozer) is proposed to be changed to extraction via blasting.  Blasting is proposed to occur approximately 6 to 12 times per year.  In addition, a portable impact crusher, processing 250 - 300 tons per hour (TPH), will be added to the existing operation.  The site is located Gedney Hill Road, in the Town of Coeymans, Albany County and in the Town of New Baltimore, Greene County.   MLF # 404-3-32-0061
