Negative Declaration

Albany County - The Town of Colonie Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Airport Area Zoning will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the rezonings and addition of an Airport Noise overlay district, affecting a total area of approximately 2,400 acres; amendment of Business E-2 zoning district uses; and addition of a new Business E-4 district. The project is located at the Albany International Airport, Town of Colonie and the E-2 and E-4 district actions may have townwide applicability.

Greene County - The County Legislature of the County of Greene, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a resource management plan that includes an inventory of agricultural resources; and analysis of opportunities and constraints they present to Greene County; recommendations for policies for use, protection and development of agricultural resources; and other strategies available to implement the plan. The project is located in the entire Greene County.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Columbia County - The Town of Kinderhook Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Widewaters Commons Shopping Center. A Public Hearing will be held on the Draft EIS on October 15, 2002 at the North Pointe Cultural Center located on Route 9 in the Village of Kinderhook, commencing at 7:00 pm. Comments on the Draft EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until November 15, 2002. The action involves the construction and operation of an approximately 47,192 square foot food market, 35,000 square feet of additional retail space and a 3,140 square foot restaurant on an approximately 19 acre property. The project includes paved parking for 484 vehicles, on-site water supply and sewage disposal facilities, and access drives, a stormwater collection and management system and paved access connections to the adjacent roadway network. The project is located on the west side of US Route 9 at its intersection with NYS Route 9H in the Town of Kinderhook, Columbia County.
