Sullivan County - The Town of Rockland Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law Amending Town of Rockland Zoning Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action intends to amend Chapter 30 of the Town of Rockland Code, the Zoning Law of the Town of Rockland, to permit telecommunications facilities in all zoning districts of the Town of Rockland. This amendment will ensure the compliance of the Zoning Law with the federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, and will protect the aesthetic resources of the Town of Rockland. For new telecommunications facilities or the physical expansion of an existing telecommunications facility or the location of such facilities within or on other existing structures, Special Use Permit and Site Plan Review is required from the Town of Rockland Planning Board. The project is located in the Town of Rockland.

Westchester County - The Village of Ossining Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Community Center Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center by replacing the existing outdoor pool with an indoor pool and adding off-street parking spaces. The project is located at 95 Broadway, Village of Ossining.

Ulster County - The Town of Wawarsing Planning Board, as lead agency, will hold a public hearing on the proposal by Catherine Strasser for the preliminary review to subdivide portions of land. The project is located on Jenny Brook Road, Wawarsing. The public hearing will be held on September 24, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.

Putnam County - The Patterson Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Burdick Farms Subdivision may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on October 10, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at the Patterson Town Hall, 1142 Route 311, Patterson, NY 12563. Written comment period ends on 10/18/02. The action involves the subdivision of a 168.3 acre parcel into 46 lots as an alternative to a previously proposed 81 lot subdivision on the same parcel. The project is located at Bullet Hole Road, Town of Patterson.

Putnam County - The Town of Southeast Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Terravest International Corporate Park. The action consists of 490,000 sq. ft. of office/warehouse uses, 72 units of senior housing, and creation of a town park. The project is located along International Boulevard and Zimmer Road, Town of Southeast.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS and Revised Notice of Public Hearing|
Orange County - The Town of Cornwall Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Cornwall Commons Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on October 7, 2002, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cornwall Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, New York. Written comments on the Draft Generic EIS will be accepted for a period of ten days after the close of the public hearing. The action involves a request for subdivision approval for a five-lot subdivision of a 143.68-acre parcel of land fronting on Route 9W in the PIO (Planned Industrial Office) zoning district in the Town of Cornwall. The Town of Cornwall Planning Board would also have powers of site plan approval over any specific use of the subject lands. The land is currently vacant and wooded. The site is located on Route 9W in the vicinity of the Route 218 ramps, extending to Frost Lane on the south, and it is bounded by the former O&W railroad line on the west. The Moodna Creek is located west of the former O&W rail line, and runs close to the site along its west central portion. The site access is completely in the Town of Cornwall, with a loop road being shown serving both the lands in Cornwall as well as the New Windsor component. he project lands in the Town of New Windsor, tax parcel Section 37, Block 1, Lot 45.1, total approximately 52.8 acres, or approximately one third of the overall project lands. These adjoining lands in New Windsor are zoned R-3 (Residential).

Westchester County - The Town of Cortlandt Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Lakeland Acres. A public hearing on the Final EIS will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 7:30 P.M. at the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room at the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York. Written comments on the FEIS are requested and will be accepted by the Planning Board until October 23, 2002 (unless extended by the Planning Board). The action involves a cluster/open space subdivision for up to 85 townhouse/condominiums, 6 single family homes and an 18 hole golf course with a clubhouse and other proposed related site improvements or as an alternative a 145 unit major conventional subdivision on 252 acres. The subject property of 252 acres is located on the north side of Oregon Road, on the east side of Adams Rush Road and at the end of Beverly Road, Casperian Road, Michael John Amato Drive West, Anton Place, Ash Street, Popular Street, Pine Street, Spruce Street, Chestnut Street and Cedar Road, Town of Cortlandt.
