Nassau County: - The Board of Trustees, of the Village of Manorhaven, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed The Villas on Manhasset Bay (Redevelopment of Thypin Steel Property). The action involves Island Estates Management, Inc. applying for a Special Permit to allow the development of the Villas on Manhasset Bay. This development will consist of 96 townhouse units on an 11.038-acre site situated at the intersection of Yennicock Avenue and Sagamore Hill Road, Incorporated Village of Manorhaven, New York. This property was formerly occupied by Thypin Steel, and implementation of the proposed action would result in a complete redevelopment of the site. Water is proposed to be supplied by the Port Washington Water District, and sanitary waste is to be handled by the Port Washington Water Pollution Control District. The project is located at the intersection of Yennicock Avenue and Sagamore Hill Road, Incorporated Village of Manorhaven, New York
Public Consideration Period for FEIS: Written comments on the FEIS will be accepted by the contact person listed below until September 27, 2002 at 4:30 p.m. The FEIS is available for public review at the office of the contact person and at the Port Washington Library, 80 Manorhaven Boulevard, Port Washington, New York 11050.
