Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Village of Rhinebeck, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Rhinebeck Savings Bank will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the applicant proposing to preserve the facade of the existing 3,840 s.f. Rhinebeck Savings Bank administrative building, demolish the remainder of the 3,800 s.f. administrative building to construct two additions to the existing 5,005 s.f. bank building, including a 1,919 s.f. addition to the north of the existing building utilizing the facade of the demolished building, and a 245 s.f. addition to the south of the existing building. The existing drive-thru will be replaced with a four-lane drive-thru and one additional escape lane, for a total of five traffic lanes with an 825 s.f. canopy. Proposed renovations also include modifications to the accessory uses, including modifications to the existing parking areas to provide a total of 52 parking spaces. The existing shed is proposed to be removed, and no changes are proposed to the Rhinebeck Village Plaza Building. The project is located at 6418 Montgomery Street, Rhinebeck.

Sullivan County - The Town Board of the Town of Callicoon, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hamlet of Youngsville Water District Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves replacement of approximately 6,800 ft. of waterlines and construction of new well to serve Hamlet of Youngsville in the Town of Callicoon.

Westchester County - The Planning Board of the Town of North Salem, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Halmi Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the subdivision of an approximately 70.121 acre parcel developed with an existing residence into four residential lots ranging in size from 15.04 to 21.01 acres. The project is located on the easterly side of Grant Road (NYS Route 121), in the town of North Salem.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Sullivan County - The Planning Board of the Town of Thompson, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Mohawk Mountain Resort and Casino. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 10, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Town of Thompson, 4052 Route 42, Monticello, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 4, 2002. The action involves construction of a 165,000 sq. ft. Casino, 750 room hotel and related amenities. The project is located on Anawana Lake Road, Town of Thompson.

Notice of Acceptance of Final Generic EIS

Rockland County - The Town Board of the Town of Orangetown, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town of Orangetown Comprehensive Plan. The action involves identifying and addressing land use-related issues in Town, and provides recommendation for future growth and change. The Comprehensive Plan is intended to assist the Town's governmental departments and boards, as well as local businesses and industries, make decisions regarding open space preservation and land development in the Town. It is also intended to provide a basis for zoning actions required to resolve zoning and land use inconsistencies that exist in certain portions of the Town. In addition, the Plan provides an opportunity to integrate various efforts and programs throughout the Town into a comprehensive policy document. The project is Townwide.
