Project Description:
Applicant proposes to place
fill into 0.09 acres of waters of the United States, including
forested wetlands and 76 linear feet of intermittent stream, in order to construct a new
stormwater detention basin to alleviate flooding in residential neighborhoods on the
eastern side of Shaker Senior High School. Approximately 350 cubic yards of clean,
clay fill material will be used to construct a berm and for the placement of rip rap to
stabilize the inlet and outlet portions of an emergency spillway.
As mitigation for the impacts
to these waters, applicant proposes to restore 0.01 acres of
wetlands and establish deed-restricted buffers along the stream corridor.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to
develop a Business Park on 208 acres of land located on the
east side of NYS Route 9W just north of the intersection of Route 385 in the Town of
Coxsackie. The proposed development would consist of 800,000 square feet of
warehouse, office, retail, and manufacturing space. Project also involves widening of Rte
9W by approximately 16 feet. As designed the project would impact 5.24 total acres of
wetland, 2.06 acres of which are federal jurisdictional waters, of which 0.23 acres are
portions of NYS DEC Regulated Freshwater Wetlands HN-101 and HN-16. 5.2 acres of
the regulated 100 foot adjacent area of wetlands HN-101 and HN-116 will also be
affected. This includes 3 acres of adjacent area to be used to establish a 5.5 acre wetland
mitigation area.

install a dry hydrant in Alplaus Creek for use as a source of
water for fire protection and for wetting down brush being composted at the facility. The
work will involve a temporary disturbance to the stream bed and banks to install the

Project Description: The department proposes
to issue a permit to the Town of Rotterdam to construct a
system to treat leachate from the town's closed Municipal and Construction & Demolition
Debris landfills located on the east side of County Highway 97 (Rynex Corners Road) in
Pattersonville. The treatment system is required under an Order on Consent signed
between the town and the department. The average flow of leachate from the landfills is
approximately 4,392 gallons per day. The treatment system will have one outfall to an
unnamed tributary of the Mohawk River. In addition to effluent limitations and
monitoring requirements the permit contains requirements to conduct toxicity testing,
develop a Best Management Practices (BMP) plan, Discharge Notification Act
provisions, and a schedule of compliance for submittal of an engineering report with
plans and specifications for the specific design of the facility which will produce a
discharge of treated effluent that will meet the effluent limits identified in the permit. A
draft permit is available for review at the department's Region 4 office.
