Project Description: The Cedar Meadows Water Corp., has applied for a Water Supply permit
(WSA#10337) to confirm its past acquisition and continued operation the existing
Gabriel D'Auria water supply system approved on May 23, 1994 (WSA #8913),
by continuing to provide an average of 17,950 gallons per day (gpd) to
approximately 68 residences from two wells, each approved to pump an average
of 58 gallons per minute (gpm).
Additionally, the Cedar Meadows Water Corp
has applied to extend its water
supply service into the nearby 28-lot Hilltop Subdivision and to provide an
additional 7,400 gpd for new a total taking of 25,350 gpd from these same two
wells. The Hilltop Subdivision is located on Haynes Road in the Town of
Beekman, Dutchess County, NY.

Project Description: The applicant proposes to
reconstruct 4.2 miles of Orange Co. Rte. 45 (Laroe Rd.)
between Orange Co. Rte. 13 (Kings Hwy.) and Orange Co. Rte. 5 (Greenwood Lake Rd.).
The project will include the filling of approximately 0.49 acre of federally regulated
wetlands, of which approximately 0.11 acre is also State-designated Freshwater Wetland
WR-11 (Class II). Approximately 2.1 acres of the regulated 100-foot adjacent area of
Freshwater Wetland WR-11 will be disturbed by roadway construction. As mitigation for
wetland impacts, a total of approximately 0.97 acre of new wetlands will be created at
two sites located near the Black Meadow Rd./Old Black Meadow Rd. intersection and the
Laroe Rd./Kings Hwy. intersection. One of the mitigation sites is located adjacent to
State-designated Freshwater Wetland WR-9 (Class II). In addition, the project will
require construction of a new stream crossing over Trout Brook (DEC Water Index No.
H-189-19-P258-1; Class C(T)), which is a State-protected stream.
