Positive Declaration and Public Scoping Session

Tioga County - The Tioga County Legislature, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed county office building project may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A Public Scoping Session will be held in the Hubbard Auditorium on the 18th day of July, 2002 at 1:30 pm.

Positive Declaration

Tompkins County - The City of Ithaca Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cornell University Proposed Parking Garage may have a significant environmental impact and that a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Project information is available for review in Ithaca City Hall. The action involves the proposed Cornell University Parking Garage located on the Cornell University Campus. The proposed project is a 392 car parking structure to be built on existing surface parking lots. The structure is proposed to be five stories with parking including the roof. The garage will have two entrances, the upper entrance will be from the existing parking lot west of Myron Taylor Hall and the lower entrance will be from the existing parking lot south of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Total area of the project is 104,700 square feet. In addition, the applicant proposes to accommodate and improve pedestrian access from the lower West Avenue Extension to Myron Taylor Hall. New driveways, sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, signage, and security devices will be included as part of this proposal. The project is located on the Cornell University Campus at the end of Edgemoor Lane and South Avenue, between Annabel Taylor/Myron Taylor Hall and Delta Kappa Epsilon in Ithaca's U-1 Zoning District.

Intent to Prepare Supplemental Draft EIS and Errata of Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft EIS published June 26, 2002

Tompkins County - The State University Construction Fund, as lead agency, intends to prepare a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Waste Management Facility at the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. The action involves development of facilities at the NYS College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University to manage carcass, bedding, and regulated medical waste in accordance with applicable regulations and the mission of the College. The project is located at Schurman Hall Complex, Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine, Ithaca, Tompkins County, NY.
