Project Description: The Department of Environmental
Conservation has made a tentative determination to
approve this application for State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit
modification to reflect an increase in discharge of treated sanitary wastewater from 11,000
gallons per day to 17,900 gallons per day into Brown Creek, a class C waterbody. The
applicant proposes an 85,000 square foot building expansion to accommodate the
projected enrollment increase from 1001 students to 1119. The discharge is will be from
an existing septic system with a new tile field designed for the increased flow. In addition
to the SPDES permit modification the applicant has also applied for an Article 24
Freshwater Wetlands permit for 1.4 acres of impact to the adjacent area of freshwater
wetland VE-20. These impacts will be composed of sewer line installation, road and ball
field construction in the regulated 100 foot adjacent area of the wetland. the project is
located between Route 365, Tilden Hill, and Spring Roads. A draft permit is available for
review at the Utica DEC office, 207 Genesee Street, Utica New York. Refer to this

Project Description: The applicant proposes to
extend a water main through Freshwater Wetland UW-9 within
a 20 foot easement adjacent to Clark Mills Road. Freshwater Wetland UW-9 is a 46 acre
class II wetland in the Town of Whitestown, Oneida County. The water main will pass
through the road side wetland for 450 feet. The wetland will be restored to original grade,
original rootstock material and topsoils will be replaced.
