Project Description:
The applicant proposes to mine gravel, including material processing by an 130 tons-per-hour capacity portable dry-screen, on 4.89 acres of land.  The estimated life of the mine is 20 years and the reclamation objective is to create a meadow suitable for agriculture. Acess to the site is an existing haul road through the adjacent Boehmer Gravel Pit, to New York State Route 16.  The mine site is located on the northwest side of NYS Route 16 with its entrance 300 feet southwest from the intersection of Broadbay Circle with Route 16.  
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Jul 26 2002.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to reshape two sections of eroded McKinstry Creek streambank: Site 1 -  reshape 50 feet of eroded streambank using material removed from a gravel bar at the same location.  Site 2 - reshape 80 lineal feet of streambank using material removed from a gravel bar at the same location and installing concrete slab riprap for further bank protection.  All work will occur on the applicant's property, Arrowhead Camping Area, located on the west side of NYS Route 16, about 8,500 feet north of Lime Lake.
