Project Description: Project description and location: Applicant proposes the following changes to the
Coxsackie Riverside Park and Boat Launch. Along the east shoreline;
place
approximately 456 cubic yards of fill below mean high water of the Hudson River
in order to; create a Shoreline Promenade, reconstruct portions of the existing
boat launch, and replace the gabion revetment north of the boat launch with
stone rip-rap. Approximately 655 linear feet of sheet pile will be installed along
the shoreline. New gangways and floating docks are proposed at the boat
launch, and deep water docking facilities will be expanded. The existing dry
hydrant located in the “beach” area will be extended out into the River
approximately 40 feet. Along the north shoreline; an area of dumped
concrete rip-rap along the north shore will be re-stacked above mean high water
(approximately 50 linear feet), and the storm water outfall and pipe will be
replaced. Within the site; Basketball courts, and play ground equipment are
proposed for the adjacent area of DEC Wetland HN-102, and the parking area
will be expanded.
