Project Description: The Department has made
a tentative decision to approve this renewal application to
discharge 8,000 gallons per day of treated laundromat wastewater to groundwater. The
wastewater is generated by washing machines as part of the laundromat's operations.
Suffolk County Water Authority and Brentwood Water District appear to be the water
purveyors near this area. A draft permit is available for review at the regional NYSDEC
office. The facility is located at 1555 Islip Avenue, Central Islip, Town of Islip, Suffolk
County.
