Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Nassau County - The Town of Oyster Bay, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Petition of Sisters of Mercy in Brooklyn for a Change of Zone and a Special Use Permit may have a significant adverse impact on the environmental and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on June 12, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, New York. The action involves a change of zone and special use permit to allow construction of an 326,224 sq. ft. assisted living complex on 18.5992 acres and a 30-single family residence subdivision on the remaining 23.3073 acres. The project is located on the south side of Convent Road, Syosset, Town of Oyster Bay, New York.

A public scoping session will be held on June 18, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, New York. The action involves a special use permit to allow construction of an 109,569 sq. ft. home improvement store on a 9.54 acre site. The project is located on the southeast corner of Fairchild Avenue and Michael Court, Plainview, Town of Oyster Bay, New York.
