Project Description: Applicant proposes to undertake
several activities within Freshwater Wetland VB-39
(Class 2) and its 100 foot adjacent area as part of a general restoration of this residential
property known as Hickory Hill Farm. The project area is located east of Chestnut Ridge
Road, approximately 500 feet north of its intersection with Camby Road. Proposed
activities include: the removal of an existing dirt road; herbicide removal of existing
invasive plant species; replacement species plantings; construction of gravel and grass
walkways; construction of an elevated wooden walkway access to a small dock in the
wetland pond; installation of in-ground utility lines and site drainage construction
improvements including swales and three piped drainage areas with outfalls to stone
energy dissipators.
