The proposed action would facilitate a proposal by Trinity Church to construct a commercial office building on a property located at 78 Varick Street (Block 227, Lots 63, 69, 70, and 76), directly adjacent to the street proposed for demapping. The area directly affected by the proposed map change consists of Duarte Square and the portion of the Avenue of the Americas (formerly known as Sullivan Street) located between Grand Street and Canal Street.
