Project Description: As part of its project to
create a 21.6 acre park, the town proposes 750 linear feet of 8-foot wide asphalt sidewalk in the 100-foot
Adjacent Area of Freshwater Wetland #LW-6,
a 100 foot by 50 foot excavated pond in the wetland and a 10 foot by 20 foot wooden
observation platform partly over the pond. Part of a 33-space parking lot and part of a
softball/baseball field will also be in the wetland's Adjacent Area. The project site is
east
of Heineman Road and south of NYS Route 430.

| State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file. | ||
| SEQR Lead Agency: Ellery Town Board | State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: A cultural resources survey has been completed. The report of the survey is on file. No archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required. | |
| Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act. | ||
