Negative Declaration

Ontario County - The Town Board of the Town of Naples, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2002 for the Town of Naples, Ontario County, New York, amending Local Law No. Two of the Year 1986 establishing regulations for use of the Naples Transfer Station, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves an amendment of Transfer Station Rules and Regulations to expand the use of same for non-residents, amend fee setting procedure, and amend other portions of the regulations. The project is located at Naples Transfer Station, County Road 21, Naples, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Chemung County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed NYS Route 17 Horseheads Project (PIN 6239.00). The action involves the upgrade of Route 17 to Interstate standards in conjunction with I-86 designation. The department is developing design studies for construction of an elevated, grade separated expressway that would separate local and regional traffic by carrying NYS Route 17 over Center Street, Grand Central Avenue and South Main Street within the Village of Horseheads, Chemung County. The project will start at Exit 52 (NYS Route 14) and extend 2.21 miles (3.56 km) to Exit 54 (NYS Route 13).
