Draft Negative Declaration and Public Hearing

Broome County - The Town of Colesville Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local Law of the Town of Colesville Amending the Land Use Local Law. A public hearing is scheduled for July 11, 2002 at 7:35 p.m. at the Colesville Town Hall, 780 Welton Street, Harpursville. The public comment period end on June 21, 2002. The action involves adoption by the Town Board of the Town of Colesville of the Proposed Local Law which (1) defines the terms agriculture, automobile or mobile home sales, automobile, and vehicle sales, (2) describes the conditions and circumstances under which automobile sales and mobile home sales are permitted in the rural agricultural district, and under which vehicle sales are permitted in the commercial district, and (3) amends and supersedes, in its application to the Town of Colesville, section 274-b of the Town Law so the under certain circumstances the special use permit for automobile sales or mobile home sales shall require the approval of at least three-fourths of the members of the Town Zoning Board of Appeals. The project is located in the Town of Colesville.
