Project Description:
The applicant proposes to install perimeter security cameras at the Athens Compressor Station and replace a failing buried electrical and communications cable within the boundary of Freshwater Wetland (FWW)# HN-108.

The project will involve the temporary disturbance of approximately 1,200 square feet of previously disturbed  ground area within the wetland and it's 100 foot wide adjacent area.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Jun 7 2002.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to add processing by a crusher and screener to the mining operations which are presently permitted at this site, consisting of blasting and use of a loader. The Halstead Shale Mine is an existing permitted 8 acre Life of Mine shale mine, on a 37 acre parcel located 1 mile west of SR 9W on CR 9, of which 5 acres are authorized to be affected during the present permit term.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: A cultural resources survey has been completed. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to apply copper sulfate to Mariaville Lake one time during the month of June or July, to control the growth of algae in the lake.  The lake is a Class II freshwater wetland and a Class B waterbody.  An aquatic vegetation control permit is required and will specify the application rates and specific conditions under which the chemical may be applied.  The lake is located directly south of the intersection of State Route 159 (Mariaville Road) and County Route 94 (Batter Street).

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
