Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chautauqua County Department of Public Factilities will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a salt storage facility and purchase and installation of modern deicing equipment. The project is located at the Chautauqua County Highway Maintenance Facility on Lawson Road, Town of Busti, County of Chautauqua

Chautauqua County - The City of Dunkirk, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed City of Dunkirk WWTP Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the wastewater treatment plant improvement project - the addition of two clarifiers and two aeration tanks to the existing wastewater treatment plant. The project is located at Wright Park Drive, Dunkirk, New York.

Positive Declaration

Erie County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Waste Management of New York Proposed Western Expansion of Chaffee Landfill may have a significant adverse impact on the environmental and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The proposed action is the expansion of the Chaffee Landfill by approximately 77 acres. The proposed action would extend the life of the landfill about 10 to 20 years. In addition, an 18.8 acre soil borrow area is proposed to support landfill operations. The proposed landfill expansion is located south of Hand Road and west of the existing landfill in the Town of Sardinia, Erie County. The proposed soil borrow area is located north of Hand Road, approximately 1000 feet west of NYS Route 16.

A Draft Scoping Document will be made available for public review and a Public Scoping Session will be held. Details on the date, time and location of the Public Scoping Session will be announced in the future.

Erie County - The Planning Board of the Town of Hamburg, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Mobile Home Park may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves construction of a 390 unit mobile home park, including all related infrastructure, on 93.1 acres of land. The project is located on the east side of Lamp Road, just north of its intersection with Nash Road in the Town of Hamburg.
