Project Description: The applicant proposes
to excavate sand and gravel above the water table from a surface unconsolidated
deposit on a 14.9 acre mining facility on a 52.7 acre parcel. The site will be reclaimed as open
space. No
screening or processing will occur on-site.The mine, known as the Raymond Bonoffski gravel pit, is
located on Taplan Drive in the Town of Volney.
