Project Description:
The applicant proposes to complete construction of a single family house within the 100 foot adjacent area of wetland #KE-10.  As mitigation, a fence will be installed and planting of trees and shrubs will be done to restore a portion of the adjacent area nearest the wetland.  The location is on the north side of Knollwood Road opposite the elementary school.

Project Description:
The applicant requests a Water Quality Certification for the proposed 20 lot subdivision ("Alders Subdivision") of a 101.74 acre parcel located off Egbertson Road (County Road No. 77).  A total of 0.41 acres of Federal wetland will be filled and the applicant has proposed to create 0.50 wetlands as mitigation for this loss.  The project also requires coverage under the State's SPDES General Permit For Storm Water Discharges From Construction Activities.  A stormwater management plan has been submitted to the Department for review and has been determined to satisfy the requirements of the General Permit.

Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application (ID#NY0215333)  for a modification of an existing permit for the backwash water discharge from the Breakneck Water Treatment Plant into Breakneck Pond.  The modification is a proposed new discharge of 8,750 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater into Beaver Pond Brook, a Class "B" waterbody, from a proposed sand filter disposal system to be constructed to replace the existing subsurface watewater seepage pits.  The facility is located on Camp Wanaki Road, Harriman State Park, where the Palisades Interstate Park Commision operates a group camp. A draft SPDES permit is available for inspection and comment at the Region 3 office.
