Project Description: The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve this application for a
modification of a permit to include four existing discharges and three proposed
discharges for a total discharge of 26,015 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater
into the groundwater. The applicant proposes to construct two dormitory buildings and a
dining facility located at an existing summer religious camp located on the west side of
Swan Lake Rd (NYS Rt 55), 700 feet north of Blanchard Rd. A draft permit is available
for inspection and comment at the regional office.

Project Description: The applicant proposes a
renewal of an existing permit to mine sand and gravel and
modifiy the permit to include mining a high area in order to eliminate some steep banks
and eroding slopes. This high area, located on the eastern side of the mine site, extends
across the 25 foot buffer and property line between an adjoining parcel of land. The town
and the adjacent landowner have entered into an agreement to mine this high area The
extension of mining actitites into this area will also allow for a more manageaable and
practical reclamation of the site. The mine is located on the east side of route 42,
approximately 1500 feet north of its intersection with NYS Route 28.
