Negative Declaration

Orange County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Ten Inch Diameter Natural Gas Distribution Pipeline between Cornwall and the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) at West Point will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of approximately 6.3 miles of 10 inch diameter natural gas distribution pipeline to provide additional supplies of natural gas to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The proposed natural gas pipeline will cross Black Rock Hollow Creek, Class A(ts) at Continental Road north of NYS Route 9W. The pipeline project will begin at a point west of the intersection of Orrs Mills Road and Mazies Lane in the Town of Cornwall (adjacent to the NYS Thruway) and run along roadway shoulders and existing rights-of-way to a point west of NYS Route 218 at the U.S. Military Academy in the Town of Highlands, Orange County. A stormwater management plan has been prepared and is available for review.

Westchester County - The Westchester County Board of Legislators, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New Water Supply Irrigation System at Maple Moor Golf Course will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a new water supply irrigation system at Maple Moor Golf Course connecting to the City of White Plains water supply. The project is located at 1128 North Street, City of White Plains.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Putnam County - The Town of Kent Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Kent Town Centre. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 7, 2002 at 8:00 PM at the Town of Kent Town Hall, 770 Route 52, Kent Lakes NY 10512. The comment period ends 10 days after close of public hearing or 30 days after DEIS accepted. The action involves the proposed construction of The Kent Town Centre consisting of a new Town Hall, Library, {Police Station and Senior Center, as well as possible future Senior Housing on a 76.9 acre parcel located on Route 52 in the Town of Kent.

Westchester County - The City of White Plains Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Jillian Estates Subdivision and Site Plan Approval. A Public Hearing, to receive comments regarding the DEIS, is scheduled for May 29, 2002, 8:00 p.m. in the White Plains Common Council Chambers, Second Floor, Municipal Building, 255 Main Street, White Plains, New York. The action involves the subdivision of a 4.51 acre parcel into approximately 14 lots for single-family detached homes in accordance with the regulations of the R1-5 (minimum 5,000 sq. ft. lot) Residential One Family Zoning District. Construction of a sanitary sewer connection through an undeveloped portion of the Sunset Drive street right-of-way from Woodcrest Avenue to Hall Avenue. Construction of a stormwater detention system. The preservation of approximately 1.3 acres of undisturbed open space areas which include wetland and 50 ft. wetland setback areas. The project is located on Crestview Drive & Sunset Drive adjacent to the Westchester County Silver Lake Park.
