The applicant proposes to improve an existing farm road which crosses Freshwater wetland SP-64 (Class II) and the adjacent 100 feet for use as a residential driveway. Approximately 350 linear feet of driveway will be improved within the wetland adjacent area.  Improvements consist of the addition of fill to raise the roadway and the placement of crushed stone.  The total disturbance area within the regulated area is approximately 5,425 square feet.  The project is part of a seven lot residential subdivision on 77+ acres located on the east side of Smith Road approximately 0.6 miles south of County Route 41.  A stormwater management plan has been prepared for the site.

       New England Motor Freight proposes to expand their existing truck terminal to increase the truck parking in the rear of the property.  They proposed to clear and grade 6.38 acres of vacant land and to fill approximately 0.45 acres of Freshwater Wetland #MB-2 (a Class II wetland) to create access to non-wetland portions of their property.  As mitigation for the loss of freshwater wetland area, they propose to construct two freshwater wetland mitigation areas on the property, that will expand the existing freshwater wetland by a total of 0.51 acres.   The New England Motor Freight facility is located on Neelytown Road  (a.k.a.County Road #99) opposite the Blue Beacon and American Freeways facilities, in the Town of Montgomery, Orange County.

The applicant proposes to construct approximately 6.3 miles of 10 inch diameter natural gas distribution pipeline to provide additional supplies of natural gas to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The proposed natural gas pipeline will cross Black Rock Hollow Creek, Class A(ts) at Continental Road north of NYS Route 9W. The pipeline project will begin at a point west of the intersection of Orrs Mills Road and Mazies Lane in the Town of Cornwall (adjacent to the NYS Thruway) and run along roadway shoulders and existing rights-of-way to a point west of NYS Route 218 at the U.S. Military Academy in the Town of Highlands, Orange County.  A stormwater management plan has been prepared and is available for review.

The applicant proposes to construct portions of two stormwater detention basins and a portion of a residential driveway within the regulated 100-foot adjacent area of State-designated Freshwater Wetland K-17 (Class II).  The project site is located is located on a 220-acre parcel of land east of Sheather Road and west of High and Searles Streets in the Towns of New Castle and North Castle.  The project involves the construction of a 36-lot residential subdivision to be known as Hammond Ridge. Construction of the stormwater detention basins and one residential driveway will disturb about 0.9 acres of the 100-foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland K-17.  In addition, approximately 0.61 acres of federally-regulated wetlands will be impacted at several other locations on the site by the construction of roadways, utility lines, and stormwater basins.  To mitigate impacts to federally-regulated wetlands, the sponsor proposes to create 0.61 acres  of stormwater wetlands, enhance 0.22 acres of existing stormwater wetlands, and create a new 0.10 acre wetland.
