The applicant proposes to reconstruct a 0.6 mile section of CR 21, approximately 4 miles east of the Village of Redwood.  Work would include fill of approximately 4,000 square feet of regulated freshwater wetland M-4, a 1808 acre Class I wetland.  The purpose of the encroachment is to correct an unsafe alignment and elevate the roadway to eliminate periodic flooding.

The Croghan Compressor Station consists of one 6,690 HP Turbine Compressor unit. The applicant proposes to modify the existing State Air Facility Permit by adding one Turbine Compressor unit rated at 11,000 HP. The Draft Air State Facility Permit is now Complete for Review.
This project is part of the Eastchester Extension Gas Pipeline Project and was noticed complete as part of that project under DEC ID #0-9999-00062/00001 on 4/11/2001. The project is Federally regulated under the Natural Gas Act and is exempt form SEQRA. Environmental Review was conducted by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission under NEPA.  The Section 401 Water Quality Certificate  for all project locations in DEC Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 was issued on 3/18/2002.

The applicant, in conjunction with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Wetland Reserve Program (WRP), proposes to install a 150'-200' long ditch plug in a previously excavated drainage ditch, to improve shallow marsh habitat for waterfowl. The site is located in regulated freshwater wetland G-8, a 100 acre Class II wetland of mixed shrub and emergent marsh habitat.  The site is bordered on the west by the Black River and is approximately 4000' west of the intersection of Greig and Pine Grove Roads, one mile southeast of Glenfield.
