The applicant proposes to construct one 20" x 14" diameter well (No. 1A) to replace existing wells Nos. 1 and 2 at the Long Springs Road well field.  The well will be 100 feet deep and be equipped with one electrically driven, deep-well-turbine pump rated at 800 gallons per minute.  The well is located at an Authority owned 13.5 acre site on the east side of Long Springs Road, north of County Road 39, Town of Southampton, County of Suffolk.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

After the proposed work has been completed, a buffer area of native vegetation will be established and will extend an average of 50 feet from the freshwater wetland boundary.
