Project Title: Town of Dannemora
Location: Town of Dannemora, Clinton County, south side of NYS Route 374 and the north shoreline of Chazy Lake.

Project Description: Applicant proposes a shoreline setback variance for construction of new 800 foot long chain link fence along the primary spillway and a variance from the shoreline cutting restrictions for vegetation removal along 1060 feet of the face of the dam. These improvements are proposed to meet dam safety requirements and were approved by DEC Permit 5-0934-00011/00005. A public hearing will commence on April 23, 2002 at 12 noon at the Town of Dannemora Town Hall, 1168 Cook Street, Dannemora, New York.

Project Description: The applicants seek after-the-fact approval for construction of a 4,800 square foot, 28 foot tall commercial use structure. The building was constructed in 1999 and will be served by an on-site water and a conventional on-site wastewater treatment system. The property is in a land use area designated as Moderate Intensity Use. The project adjoins state wilderness lands and involves new land uses and development within the one-eight mile Critical Environmental Area. The project is the town of Arietta which has an Agency approved local use program. The property has wetlands on or adjacent to it.

Franklin County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed H&C Robinson, Inc.-Bare Hill Road Pit will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of the existing, currently permitted, 4.5 acre sand mine to include a total of 24.5 acres over the life of mine. This is part of a 200 acre parcel owned by Scott and Caroline Robinson. The project is located approximately 800 feet south of the Bare Hill Road and Cargin Road intersection, on the west side of Bare Hill Road, Town of Constable.

Essex County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, DWSRF Project # 15920, the Town of Essex, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Safe Drinking Water Act Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The proposed project includes the installation of 4,300± linear feet of new water transmission pipe within existing and to-be-acquired R-O-W along NYS Route 22 and Block House Road, Town of Essex.
