Notice of Extension of Public Comment Period

Bronx and Westchester Counties - The New York City Department of Environmental Protection, as lead agency, has extended the public comment period on the proposed Croton Water Treatment Plant Filtration Project that was issued in the February 13, 2002 issue of the ENB. The comment period will remain open until April 30, 2002 and a Final Scope of Work will be issued by the end of May 31, 2002. The New York City Department of Environmental Protection proposes to design, construct, and operate a 290-million gallon per day (mgd) water treatment plant (WTP) to provide filtration and disinfection of the Croton Water Supply System. The facility is proposed to be located at one of two sites: the Eastview Site in Mt. Pleasant, New York or the Harlem River Site in the Bronx, New York.

Negative Declaration

New York County - The Trust for Cultural Resources of the City of New York, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Trust for Cultural Resources of the City of New York, Revenue Bonds (Carnegie Hall) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the issuance by The Trust for Cultural Resources of the City of New York ("TCR")of an amount not to exceed $45,000,000 Revenue Bonds (Carnegie Hall). The proceeds will be used to modify lower level cinema space into a 650 seat auditorium with state of the art recording systems, communication networks, video conferencing system, a new freight elevator and various improvements in the back stage areas that support the performances in the new auditorium as well as in the existing halls. The project is located in New York City.
