It will not be used for any residential or commercial purposes. A camper trailer now located on this property will be removed. The project site contains wetlands and is located within one-eighth mile of State land designated "Wilderness," a critical environmental area.

Project Description: Applicant proposes two new commercial use storage buildings (26' x 120' and 52' x 150') in an area classified as Low Intensity Use on the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map. The lot appears to contain wetlands pursuant to the Official Adirondack Park Agency Wetlands Maps. The applicant proposes to operate the business between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. , seven days per week during spring, summer and fall; closed during winter. The project site is currently improved by a single family dwelling. No water or sewage treatment systems are proposed for the storage buildings. The project site is also located within 300' of NYS Route 28, a designated "critical environmental area." The proposed project site is associated with an existing commercial marina and motel operation located on adjacent property.

Project Description: REVISED PROJECT APPLICATION - NYCO Minerals, Inc. has further revised a proposed amendment to APA Permit 96-76 (designated as Project 2000-58) to authorize relocation of a mine road approximately 7,000 feet in length after the fact. The mine road is intended to provide access for ore trucks and machinery directly from NYS Route 9 to the approved Oak Hill mine site in the Town of Lewis. The new plans provide a resolution to Enforcement case E2000-97.

Location: Towns of Fort Ann and Queensbury, Washington and Warren Counties, respectively, on the south side of New York State Route 149 approximately 0.6 miles east of Ridge Road.

Project Description: Applicant proposes a change in commercial use involving the operation of a motorcycle sales and repair shop in an existing structure that was previous approved by the Agency as a boat repair shop. The mini-storage operation and a land clearing debris waste disposal area previously approved in Agency Permit 97-154 will continue to operate on the project site as described in the permit. The motorcycle shop will operate M-F 9:00-9:00 year-round, the mini storage 24 hours/day with coded entry and the dump site 7:00am to 5:00pm April thru December 30.


Negative Declaration

Essex County - The Town of Elizabethtown, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves water source, water storage and water distribution improvements. The project is located NYS Route 9N and hamlet of Elizabethtown.

Washington County The Village of Hudson Falls, as lead agency, has determined that Residence District Class A amendment will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves adoption of Local Law No. 2 of 2002, which amends Article IV "Regulations and Restructions" of the Village of Hudson Falls Zoning Law, and specifically Section 215-6 thereof "Residence District Class A", and Article II "Definitions" and specifically Section 215-2 "Word Usage; definitions". The project is located villagewide.

Warren County - The Town of Lake George, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the following amendments to the Comprehensive Plan:

A zoning change is recommended to change from Land Conservation (LC-25) to Land Conservation (LC-8.5) in the southeast corner of the Town, south of Bloody Pond Road.

It is recommended that ‘tourist attractions’ be permitted in the Tourist Commercial (TC) zoning district and the Residential Commercial Medium S2 (RCM-S2) zoning district.

The regulation of adult uses. It is recommended that adult uses be permitted in some location in the Town of Lake George.

The regulation of telecommunication towers. It is recommended that the zoning ordinance be amended to regulate telecommunication towers and that telecommunication facilities be confined to the Northway (I-87) corridor. The project is located in the Town of Lake George.
