New York City (Manhattan County) - The Department of Housing Preservation and Development, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cornerstone East 103rd Street Church Relocation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a new church facility (7,596 sq. ft.) with one on-site parking space to replace an existing church facility located on Block 1674, p/o Lot 23 in the neighborhood. The project is located at East 103rd Street, in Manhattan.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Richmond County - The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed "Bricktown Centre at Charleston." A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Spector Hall, NYC Department of City Planning, 22 Reade Street, New York, NY. Written comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be accepted by NYCEDC through Monday, April 15, 2002. The applicant proposes to dispose of approximately 67 acres of city-owned land to Charleston Enterprises, Inc., for the development of "Bricktown Centre at Charleston," a retail center with approximately 679,406 gross square feet (gsf) of retail space for three "big box" retail stores, about nine smaller retail stores, and 2,606 surface parking spaces. The project is bounded to the south and east by Veterans Road West (a service road for the West Shore Expressway), and additional city-owned property to the north and west.
