The applicant proposes to install one six inch diameter, 125 gallon per minute (GPM) well and one six inch diameter, 125 GPM dispersion well as component parts of an open loop geothermal heat pump system to be used to cool a proposed clubhouse for a new golf course. The geothermal heat pump system temporarily withdraws groundwater to operate the air conditioning system then returns the water to the aquifer with no addition of chemicals or other contaminants. The locations of the pumping well and the dispersion well will be approximately 100 feet apart horizontally and both wells will be screened in the upper glacial aquifer about 150 feet below the ground surface. The wells will be situated approximately 700 feet northeast of the intersection of Abrahams Path and Accabonac Road in East Hampton. SCTM # 0300-125-3-1.
