Project Description:
The applicant proposes to replace the existing bridge on Van Etten Road over Tributary 1 of Thatcher Brook with a precast concrete arch bridge on peirs with cast-in-place concrete wing walls.   Approximately 92 lineal feet of riprap scour protection will be installed along the creek channel. Also, 164 lineal feet of an unprotected tributary of Trib. 1 of Thatcher Brook, just upstream of the bridge, will be shaped and lined with riprap.   The project is located approximately 85 feet east of the intersection of US Rte 62 and Van Etten Road.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes the mining of sand and gravel, and material processing with a portable dry-screen that has a maximum capacity to process 100 tons per hour, on 5.58 acres out of 163 acres owned (by the applicant) at the proposed location.  Excavation to 22 feet below the mean ground water table is proposed, which will increase the size of a previously excavated 0.6 acre recreation/irrigation pond to 1.98 acres. Existing, previously mined material stockpiled in the regulated 100-foot Adjacent Area of Freshwater Wetland No. NA-1, will be removed and the disturbed Adjacent Area between the pond and wetland reclaimed. The affected area around the pond and the processing and stockpile area will be revegetated to a permanent grass cover.  The estimated life of the mine is 4 years.  The site is east of Wolf Road, approximately 1,250 feet south from its intersection with Markham Road.

Removal of approximately 83 cubic yards of gravel from a 20 foot wide by 150 foot long gravel bar in Buffalo Creek just upstream (south) of the confluence of Hollow (Sheldon) Creek.  The gravel bar is restricting the flow of Buffalo Creek and is pushing the stream towards one of the Erie County Soil and Water Conservation District's Joint Board Projects (JBP#C).  The gravel bar is located on the Fred Lee Farm at 13902 Strykersville Road.

Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve the application of Candlelight Cabinetry, Inc. a manufacturer of kitchen cabinetry systems from wood products. The facility's surface coating operations are subject to 6NYCRR Part 228.7 (Wood Coating Line) requirements for volatile organic limits per coating material. The draft permit establishes federally enforceable limits for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) and any individual HAP below 50, 25, and 10 tons per year, respectively. By accepting these limits the company avoids the requirements of 6NYCRR Subpart 201-6, Title V Permits.  The application and draft Air State Facility Permit are available for review during normal business hours at the regional office.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
