Project Description:
    The applicant proposes to disturb less than 0.1 acre of state-designated Freshwater Wetland No. DP-22 (Class I) to create a drainage swale.  The purpose of the swale is to provide positive drainage from an existing outlet pipe to prevent recurrent flooding of the building.  The project site is located west of NYS Route 22, north of  the Pleasant Ridge Road intersection at the outlet pipe from the Dover Library/Legion Hall.   The project involves clearing and grading an area approximately 60 ft. x 90 ft.,  with the excavation of  approximately 100 cu. yds. of material. Gabion headwalls and rip-rap will be placed at the existing drainage pipe.
  
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Mar 1 2002.

Project Description:
ExxonMobil Oil Corporation has applied for permits for its proposed development of a "Mobil On The Run" gasoline service station with accessory convenience mart on the site of an existing gasoline station which is to be demolished.  The project site is located on the north side of NYS Route 299, across from the exit 18 entrance/exit of the NYS Thruway.  A portion of the site is located within the adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland CD-5 (Class II).  The applicant proposes a discharge of 800 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater and treated stormwater (oil-water separator) from the facility to an unnamed tributary of the Wallkill River (H-139-13-13).  The Department has made a tentative decision to approve the SPDES permit for these discharges.  A draft permit containing proposed effluent limits and monitoring requirements has been prepared and is available for review.
