Applicant proposes to remove two existing structures and construct an 88' x 62' residence in the adjacent area of Wetland K-109, Kinderhook Lake.  The proposed site is west of Columbia County Route 23B and 600 feet north of Ottoville Road on the west side of Kinderhook Lake in the Town of Kinderhook, Columbia County, N. Y.

The applicant proposes to add a water treatment system and replace existing waterlines and electrical conduits in the vicinity of the Greenville Water Treatment Plant and well 3A, at Wickes Lane and Rte 32, in the Town of Greenville, Greene County. The proposed water treatment system would discharge treated backwash water up to 5,000 GPD to Brown Creek, a Class C stream using an existing outfall.  Some of the replacement electric and water lines will be in the adjacent area of FWW # GR-103.

The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a permit for the Water Treatment Plant discharge under Article 17 of the Environmental Conservation Law. This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated under this statute is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit issuance based on information available to the Department at this time.  As a tentative determination, the Department seeks comments on the proposed activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.  This tentative determination does not signify Department approval for, or endorsement of, the activity for which a permit is sought, or for the overall proposed project.
