Negative Declaration

Cattaraugus County - The Cattaraugus County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed reconstruction of Leon Bridges 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 and a portion of County Road 6 in the Town of Leon will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project proposes to replace Leon Bridges 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 carrying County Road 6 over Mud Creek and improve the roadway alignment. The new roadway alignment will eliminate two bridges and realign the stream in a rock area. Environmental mitigation for the stream realignment will include pools and ripples for trout propagation and the installation of willows along the desired stream/road embankment, and other improvements as economically feasible. The project is located on County Road 6 in the Town of Leon.

Cattaraugus County - Cattaraugus County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed reconstruction of County Road 13, Phase IIb will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. Brief Project Description: The action involves the reconstruction of approximately 1.5 miles of County Road 13 in the Towns of Mansfield and Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County. The project will begin just west of the intersection formed with Hencoop Hollow and Kent Roads and end just east of the Mansfield/Ellicottville town line. The project is being undertaken to improve safety and correct the deteriorated pavement. The existing road is classified as a Rural Collector and consists of non-standard travel lane and shoulder widths, 18 vertical curves with non-standard stopping sight distance, and non-traversable ditches. This project will provide standard width travel lanes (12') and shoulders (8') and eliminate all but two of the non-standard vertical curves. Roadside drainage and safety will be improved by providing more traversable ditches and replacing cross culverts. The project is located on Country Road 13, Cattaraugus County.
