The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is offering training seminars in five locations across New York State. This year, the morning session dealing with Hazardous Waste Annual Reporting will start at 8:00 a.m. The afternoon session dealing with Hazardous Waste Manifests will start at 1:00 p.m.

Major changes have been made to the Hazardous Waste Reporting forms and reporting codes for 2001. Highlighted this year in the morning Hazardous Waste Reporting session will be the new Site Identification Form and the redesigned GM and WR Forms, along with discussion on the completely new lists of Form Codes, Source Codes and Waste Management Method Codes. The afternoon Manifest Training session will include such items as the proper completion of a hazardous waste manifest, manifest distribution, exception reporting, discrepancy reporting and rejected loads.

There is no charge for any of these seminars, but seating may be limited. All those wishing to attend either the morning, afternoon or the entire full-day training session should reserve a spot by calling 1-800-452-1925 (NY only) or (518) 402-8730.


Notice of Hearing

Orange County - Public Notice is hereby given that there has been intoduced before the Town Board of the Town of Warwick, New York, on December 27, 2001, a local law titled "Revisions to Proposed 2001 Zoning Law of the Town of Warwick," which in summary would:

A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the clerk's office.

Now, therefore, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board of the Town of Warwick, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway, Warcick, New York, on January 14, 2002 at 7:30 p.m., at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.


Negative Declaration

Orange County - The Planning Board of the Village of Warwick, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Warwick Valley Auto Body, Inc. Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves change of tenancy/occupancy application for commercial retail establishment to use premises for an auto body repair facility. The project is located at 67-69 Main Street in the Village of Warwick.

Ulster County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Darling Mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves expansion of an existing 28-acre sand and gravel mine by 7 acres. The project is located southwest of the intersection of Salt Point Turnpike with NYS Route 82.
