Negative Declaration

Erie County - The Buffalo Sewer Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Grit Removal System Modifications at the Bird Island Sewage Treatment Plant, Contract No.5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a new grit removal system and modifications to the existing grit removal system at the Buffalo Sewer Authority’s Bird Island Sewage Treatment Plant. The project entails the construction of a new 15,000 square foot building and modifications to the wastewater treatment plant process conduits, mechanical, electrical and control systems. This project will not result in any large and important environmental impacts. The impacts are primarily temporary construction disturbances at the WWTP. The project is located at the foot of West Ferry Street, 90 West Ferry Street, Buffalo.

Positive Declaration and Notice of Acceptance of Draft Supplemental EIS and Public Hearing

Erie County - The Town of Lancaster, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed NEC Transit/William (Rezone) may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Supplemental EIS has been accepted. A public hearing on the Draft Supplemental EIS will be held on December 18, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lancaster Senior Center, 100 Oxford, Avenue, Lancaster, New York. Comments on the Drafat Supplemental EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2002. The action involves the rezoning of approximately 15 acres from CMS-Commercial Motor Service to GB-General Business, and rezone of 21 acres from R1-Residential District 1 to GB-General Business for a total of approximately 36 acres to be rezoned at the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Transit Road and William Street, in the Townof Lancaster.
